Marlborough Partners, the independent leveraged debt advisory firm, has recruited Rodolphe Roch as a Transaction Director.
Rodolphe joins from North Sea Partners, an independent investment banking firm where he advised on numerous high yield bond and leverage debt financings, restructurings and private placements and co-founded the firm's London office in 2009. Before joining North Sea, Rodolphe worked in leverage finance at Barclays Capital and CIBC World Markets.
Marlborough has also recruited JP Davidson as an Analyst. JP joined Marlborough from PwC where he had worked as a Senior Associate in the Banking and Capital Markets team.
Commenting on the appointments, Marlborough Managing Partner, Jonathan Guise, says: "we are delighted to have attracted one of Europe's most experienced high yield debt advisers to the team. With bank and CLO liquidity limited by Basel III regulation and the expiry of CLO re-investment periods, the European high yield markets will become increasingly important to private equity firms for both primary and refinancing capital. We also welcome JP to our expanding team; good analysts are core to our business and not easy to find."
Rodolphe Roch added: "The Marlborough team's success as Europe's leading independent leveraged debt adviser, completing eleven transactions in a difficult market in the last 12 months alone, is testament to the team's skills, experience and relationships with both European private equity firms and leverage debt providers. I have known the team for some time and very much look forward to working with them all."
The team's recent transactions include advising on Equistone's investment in Audley Travel and Advent International's investment in Oberthur.
